Recently, I took my old scanner out of the closet to make some photocopies. Out of curiosity, I scanned my face and that of my roommate. The result was quite impressive! Not only because of the quality of the image, but also because of the effect created. The photos give a feeling of being crushed or even punched in the face. So I decided to rely on this idea to find a concept that could support this strong visual.

At the same time, I was approached by Shoot studio to participate in the annual Mont-Royal Avenue photo project. This year's theme was the expression “meeting point”. I directly made the link between my photographic experiments and the guiding line of the project. I wanted to show another side of rue Mont-Royal. A less visible or less known reality, like that of Mario who was itinerant for a long time on Mont-Royal Avenue. However, these are characters we meet every day who draw a slight smile on our faces when we go to work or simply take a walk in the sun.
